Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the production of nitrogen oxides NOx and the amount of smoke product by providing a supply port for auxiliary combustible materials such as steam, air or the like concentrically with a primary air supply swirler and forming inwardly the port and swirler.
CONSTITUTION: Liquid fuel is supplied from a combustion nozzle 31 into a combustor 32. Primary combustible air is supplied through a swirler 33, outer peripheral portions 34 of the swirler, and a pipe 35 from the front surface 36 of the nozzle into the combustor 32. steam for reducing nitrogen oxide NOx and air or gas fuel for reducing smoke are supplied from an inward swirler 37 into the combustor 32. The swirler 37 is provided around a fuel injection valve as a center concentrically with the swirler 33, and both the swirlers 37, 33 are formed axially inwardly of the fuel injection valve. Thus, the primary air stream is applied by swirling and redially inward components so as to approach, collide or mix the trace of the primary air stream to or with the fuel injection cone.
