Abstract
PURPOSE: To form the economical captioned control unit which is readily capable of selecting correct welding work condition by electrically performing the output controlling at the shirtcircuiting.
CONSTITUTION: The output condition of the weld zone composed of an electrode 1, welding base metal 2 and arc 3 is detected with a circuit 4, by the signal thereof the SCR group of the main circuit part is controlled via mean output control circuit 5, shortcircuit characteristic improvement control circuit 6 and gate circuit 7, whereby the output controlling is accomplished. When the output shortcircuits, the signal from the detection circuit 4 causes a photoc coupler PC1 to conduct. The voltage E4 which controls the main circuit part SCR then becomes the voltage E5 having been set higher than E4, instantaneously, then it gradually decreases, but during this time the conduction time of SCR is reduced, resulting in the decreased output. On the other hand, when the shortcircuiting shifts to arc condition, the photo coupler PC1 and PC2 become non-conducting and PC3 becomes condicting. Then, E4 once becomes the low voltage to be set by a constant voltage diode ZD2 then it gradually increases but during this time the output increases and supplies the energy corresponding to kick voltage to the load.
