Abstract
PURPOSE: To make correct welding work condition readily selectable and form the economical captioned power unit by performing the output controlling at the shortcircuiting electrically.
CONSTITUTION: The power unit is formed by the series circuit of the 1st group control recrifying devices (thyristors) S1WS6 and the 2nd control rectifying device S7 and capacitor C1 (a switching element Tr1 is paralleled to C1) parallel connected to the load (arc generating part 3), recognition circuit P1 of outut condition to the load and output control units Q1, Q2. If in the above-mentioned unit the output condition becomes shortcircuited, and signal of the recognition circuit P1 which detected this causes the 2nd cntrol rectifying device S7 to conduct and the capacitor C1 absorbs the energy flowing in the arc load. When the output condition becomes of arc condition, the signal from P1 causes the switching element Tr1 to conduct, causing the charges of the capacitor C1 to be released at the time constant determined by C1 and R0, thus it is reset.
