Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the performance of heat exchanging while bettering the degree of freedom of the selection of fin pitches by a mechanism wherein elliptical tubes are mounted so that the section longitudinal direction be parallel with blast air currents while elliptical collar portions according to fixed conditions are formed at plate fins. CONSTITUTION:Elliptical tubes 1 are made of metal, which is light and has excellent heat transmission properties, such as aluminum, and inserted into plate fins 2 in aluminum. Elliptical collar portions 2c are made up to the fringes of the hole portions 2a of the plate fins 2, the height of elliptical web portions 2e is further made higher to the elliptical top portions 2d of the collar portions 2c, and flanges 2f are installed to the upper surfaces of the elliptical web portions 2e. Thus, pressure loss at the air side is decreased while heat transmission distances to looper portions from the tubes become shorter, and thermal conductivity at the air side and the performance of heat exchange can be improved.
