Abstract
PURPOSE:To attain capacity stabilization of a gas-permeable, water-repellent porous membrane of a membrane-process module by a method wherein an excessive amount of inert gas or air is dissolved in a liquid to be treated, and an absorbing liquid of a membrane module to prevent an intermixing phenomenon. CONSTITUTION:When a liquid to be treated containing a volatile component, such as ammonia, cyanogen or the like, is operated within a membrane-process module, an inert gas or air is dissolved in a liquid to be treated and/or a gas absorbing liquid preliminarily or in a membrane-process module above ordinary dissolution degree in the operating condition. When handling is carried out in this operating condition, even if liquid pressure within a membrane-process module is high, an intermixing phenomenon between a liquid to be treated and an absorbing liquid is prevented and capacity of a gas-permeable, water-repellent porous membrane is stabilized as well as a volatile component is efficiently removed.
