Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide title compsn. which produces a cured substance having excellent tensile strength and useful for adhesion of glass, consisting of polyene and a reaction product resulting from the reaction of specific polyepoxide with polythiol.
CONSTITUTION: (a) Polyepoxide having at least two epoxy gp. per molecule obtd. by the reaction of ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether with epichlorohydrin is reacted with (b) polythiol having at least two mercapto gp per molecule such as ethanedithiol in such a proportion at to give a mole ratio of tatal mercapto gp to total epoxy gp of from 1.2W100, preferably 2.5W20. Then the resulting reaction product is blended with polyene having preferably at least two non-aromatic carbon-carbon unsaturated double bonds per molecule such as divinylbenzene, divinyltoluene, ethylene glycol diacrylate in about equimolar ratio to obtain the desired compsn.
