Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the quick starting of a turbine rotor and its follow-up to a load, by using the speed-up rate as a control parameter for the starting of the rotor and the load variation rate as a control parameter for the on-load run of the rotor, predicting the thermal stress of the rotor in consideration of the degree of vacuum of a steam condenser and comparing the predicted stress with a limit value to determine an optimal level.
CONSTITUTION: A digital computer is provided in a thermal stress prediction turbine control system 100. The temperature T1' of a fluid as a function of a compensated value L' of the load L under a rated condition, the fluid temperature difference Δt0 between the upstream and downstream sides of a regulating valve 11, the passage area reduction ratio K1 of the valve 11 and a temperature reduction coefficient K2 are determined from the load L and the temperature TMS and pressure PMS of main steam by the control system 100 to estimate the steam condition after a first stage.
