Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A soda lime glass substrate is processed into an upper glass 2 and a lower glass 3. On the glasses 2, 3 are formed a transparent electrode for display 4, an electrode for counter electrode lead 5, and a counter electrode 6 with trnasparent conductive films mainly composed of In2O3 or SnO2. A transparent thin film 7 of 0.05 to 0.5μ in thickness consisting of SiO2 is properly coated. In this case, thin film 7 is not provided on the external terminal part 8 of the electrode 4, the electrode 5, and the glass 3 opposing to the electrode 5. Furthermore, an orientation layer is provided on the thin film 7.
