Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent leakage between two kinds of gasses for heat exchanging and to heat exhaust gas after desulfurizing effectively by employing the heat pipe which can obtain high heat conductivity for the heat exchanger to be used for indirect heating.
CONSTITUTION: The casing 30 is completely separated by the separating plate 32 through which multi number of heat pipes 31 are vertically arranged. By doing so, desulfurized low temperature gas G1 passes through the upper passages and untreated high temperature gas G2 passes through the lower side. Untreated high temperature gas heats pipe 31 so that the medium in the heat pipe 31 is evaporated by the heat and shifted upward by the pressure difference in the pipe, and the medium is condensed at the upper part of the pipe to give the condensation heat to desulfurized low temperature gas G1.
