Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate an oil-recovering device to recover oil spilled into the sea surface, etc. by jetting hot water (or heated water) onto the oil floating on the surface.
CONSTITUTION: The oil recovering device is a device provided with forward-opening side plates 11 and a suction inlet 12, which is designed to condense oil layer, and is composed of a jetting device 14, which is located in front of the side plates 11 for moving backward of oil layer stagnating between the side plates 11, and also of a heater 18, which is to heat the fluid to be jetted out from the jetting device 14. In the above mechanism, as viscosity of oil is lowered by thus heated and jetted out from the jetting device 14, the oil is made to form a bridge so that such an inconvenience as slowdown of flow to the suction inlet 12 can be prevented. And at the same time, sine the recovered oil's temperature is raised, segregation between oil and water contents in a segregating tank can be accelerated. And therefore, this device is designed capable of serving not only the primary purpose but also the secondary purpose at the same time.
