Abstract

PURPOSE: To largely raise the efficiency of recovery for floatage on surface by providing a water intaking device whose water intaking depth is feeely adjustable while a diversing device to divide water introduced into a lower laminar flow and an upper laminar flow is installed on the floatage recovering device.
CONSTITUTION: A water intaking device 7 whose water intaking depth is freely adjustable is mounted to the front end portion of a recoverer body 3 designed to float on the sea water in stable state with the aid of a float. In the recoverer body 3 following the water intaking device 7, a head-race 5 is provided and also the head- race 5 is provided with a diversing device 36 to divide water flow introduced into a lower laminar flow and an upper laminar flow containing floatage. Thus, the lower laminar flow of the water flow being introduced flows to a water jet propeller 28 and also the upper laminar flow containing floatage flows to an upper introducing path 20. The floatage in the introducing path 20 is pushed into the suction port of a floatage suction pipe A and then sent through a flexible pipe 58 and a feed pipe 60 to the floatage recoverer by means of a pump 59.
