Abstract

PURPOSE: A valve is provided which opens and close a rotor liquid discharge passage. The valve closes when the liquid falls due to the top of a coolant circulation pump. By this operation, leakage of coolant liquid when it is in a stationary state is prevented and stabilized rotation is secured.
CONSTITUTION: The coolant liquid is supplied from liquid supply passage 12 with pressure by a circulation pump. After cooling the rotor unit, it is led to liquid discharge passage 13 which is provided outside of liquid supply passage 12 and concentrically with it, and then it is discharged from liquid discharge port 15, which is opened, to liquid collection ring 16. Valve 18 is shifted toward the left by the coolant liquid pressure of liquid pressure chamber 20 in resisting the spring pressure of spring 22, and opens liquid discharge port 15. When the operation of the circulation pump is stopped by some cause or another, the pressure-supply of the coolant liquid into liquid supply passage 12 is stopped, and at the same time, the pressure in liquid pressure chamber 20 falls, and valve 18 is shifted toward the right and closes liquid discharge port 15.
