Abstract

PURPOSE: To smiplify the constitution of the semiconductor switch device control circuit, by using the negative resistance element which flows current at the applied voltage lower than a value and does not flow current at the greater voltage than a value.
CONSTITUTION: When AC voltage is fed between the terminals AC1 and AC2, the voltage rectified with the diodes D2 to D5 is fed to the negative resistance element A via the photo variable resistance element PC. Further, the element A consists of the n channel FET1 and p channel FET2, and it is conductive when the voltage fed between the terminals AC1 and AC2 is low and not conductive when it is high, operating as the detection element near the zero potential of AC voltage. When the LED photo-coupled with the element PC is illuminated, the element PC is lower in resistance, and the element A is operated, and one of the SCR's with the gate G1 or G2 of SCRGR1 and FR2 in anti-parallel connection. Accordingly, current flows to the load connected between the terminals AC1 and AC2. Thus, the control circuit of a simple circuit constitution can be obtained.
