Abstract

PURPOSE: To give variety to display and to reduce cost by using an optical filter for optical display or an offset printing method for designing.
CONSTITUTION: The negative of an aluminium plate is coated with photosensitive resin and a photographic film in a desired shape is copied on a smaller scale and made in contact with the negative, thereby forming a pringing negative through exposure and development. Since the negative obtained in this way has resolution of approximate 5 to 10μ, high precision can be obtained as compared with screen printing and electrostatic printing. In addition, the need of an etching process as a negative is nearly eliminated, so that it will be very different in precision with both intaglio printing and anastatic printing. Further, an offset negative is extremely cheap. A negative with mesh dots of approximate 5 to 10μ can therefore be formed with high precision and low cost by offset printing; decreasing this density of mesh dots makes the negative halftone close to transparent and increasing it makes it semitransparent. In this way, the mesh density is varied to give variety to display.
