Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the deterioration of toughness of the drawn wire, by detecting the drawing force and/or wire temperature while drawing work is being performed, and by controlling the drawing speed of the drawing machine depending on the difference between the detected value and the previously settled aim point.
CONSTITUTION: The drawing force detector 6 is installed on the side of the coiler 3 for actually measuring the present drawing force. The aim point for the drawing force is memorized in the reference drawing force setter 8; the operator 21 delivers the deviation of the actually measured drawing force from the aim point to the amplifier 9, which inputs this signal to the speed converter 11, for controlling the coiler 3; hereby, the drawing speed is controlled. Next, the temperature detecting coil 12 detects the temperature of the wire which is being drawn. The detected temperature is inputted to the bridge box 13 whose output is given to the operator 22 as the actually measured wire temperature through the amplifier 14. In the meantime, the suitable aim point for the wire temperature is memorized in the reference wire temperature setter 15, and the operator 22 operates the deviation of actually measured wire temperature from the aim point for wire temperature, and delivers the signal to the amplifier 16 for controlling the drawing speed.
