Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify the construction of a hydraulic power plant equipment by permitting control of the waterwheel generator rpm with a load unit such as an electromagnetic brake.
CONSTITUTION: A water flow rate control valve 2 is provided in a water lead duct 1 for leading water for rotating an impeller of a waterwheel, and the rotative shaft 5 of the waterwheel is coupled to the rotative shaft 6a of a weterwheel generator 6 through a coupling 11, the rotative shaft 7a of an electromagnetic brake 7 and a coupling 12. A control unit 8 controls the exciting current in the electromagnetic brake 7 according to the difference between the rpm detected by a rpm detection generator and a preset rpm. A torque control unit 10 controls the aperture of the water flow rate control valve 2 when the exciting current in the electromagnetic brake 7 exceeds a predetermined value.
