Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively obtain wind energy from a windmill when rotary speed of the windmill goes below a straight line of maximum efficiency, by increasing the rotary speed of the windmill with a use of the other power and bringing its operation into stable range.
CONSTITUTION: To an anemometer generator 9 a maximum efficiency windmill speed converter 11 is connected to obtain maximum efficiency windmill speed Vm and compare said speed Vm with output V of a speed generator 3 in a signal difference detector 12, then for the output V lower than the maximum efficiency windmill speed Vm a power switch 5 is operated to drive a motor 4 and increase rotary speed of a windmill 1. In this way, the rotary speed of the windmill 1 is adjusted to a range of stable operation permitting the operation of the windmill in a smooth state, thus wind energy can be effectively taken out.
