Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the variation in the output of a wind-power generator due to the interruption of the wind force and to permit the windmill to serve as a brake when wind is too strong by providing a wind-pressure switch which senses the wind velocity.
CONSTITUTION: When an electric motor 3 mounted on a wind-power generator 4 is started by the operation of a wind-pressure switch 6 which senses the wind velocity, a windmill readily starts rotating, and thus a rotation powerful enough to generate electricity can be obtained. When there is the interruption of the wind force, the motor 3 is allowed to keep rotating. When wind is too strong, that is, when the windmill speed is above the motor speed, the motor 3 can be used as a brake for controlling the windmill speed, because the motor speed is constant.
