Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify packing operation and facilitate storage and transportion, by filling molten caprolactam and then cooling and solidifying the caprolactam.
CONSTITUTION: A package 1 is made from a thermoplastic resin such as polyethylene, polyvinyl acetate, etc. or from an aluminum leaf laminated with such a resin and has sealed parts 2 and openings 3 at both its ends. The molten caprolactam is poured into the package through one opening 3 while air is discharged through the other opening 3. The molten caprolactam 4 filled in the package 1 is molded to an optional form by a mold 5 and is cooled and solidified under air or water. After the mold 5 is separated from the package 1, the openings 3 are sealed up and both the ends of the package are folded like a pouch for shipment. Therefore, it is not necessary to flake or granulate the caprolactam by a flaker etc, and the qulity of the caprolactam is prevented from changing.
