Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent CO gas poisoning by detecting the concentration of CO gas produced through the incomplete combustion in domestic combustors prior to the concentration exerts a harmful in fluence upon a human body and closing a magnet valve. CONSTITUTION:When a valve 4 is opened by pushing a push button 10, fuel gas flows from an inlet port 2 to an exit 3, and when a pilot burner 28 is ignited by an ignition device not shown in figures, the contact 13 of a thermocouple 14 is heated to generate a starting force, and a movable iron piece 9 is attracted due to the excitation of an electromagnet 5, keeping the open state of the valve 4 described above. When the CO concentration in environmental air increases in continuous combustion, the resistance value of a gas sensor 21 decreases and a comparator 25 generates an output. A transisotr 26 is excited due to said output, and the contact 17 of a relay 27 is closed, and a heater 16 is heated. As a result of this, in the electromagnet 5 through the contact 15 of the thermocouple, reverse current flows, and the valve 4 is closed.
