Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a varistor appropriate to suppress sparks on the commutator of miniature motor and having an appropriate contact cleaning effect, by making electrodes consisting of silver and a glass of specific composition on the varistor consisting of ZnO and a glass of specific composition.
CONSTITUTION: ZnO of 6μ in average grain size is mixed at a ratio of 6:4 with glass powder which has an average grain size of 6 μ and consists of 30 to 45 parts by weight of B2O3, 10 to 40 parts by weight of BaO and 15 to 45 parts by ZnO and binds the former ZnO.
