Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a non-oriented electrical sheet with superior magnetism by hot rolling an electrical steel slab to a strip and coiling the strip at a high temp., followed by recrystallization annealing with the potential heat of the strip, pickling and finish annealing. CONSTITUTION:A slab contg. Si<4.0% and Al<1.0% for a silicon steel sheet is hot rolled to a strip at a finish temp. of 850-1000 deg.C. This hot strip is coiled at 750-1000 deg.C and it is recrystallized to a size of ASTM, No.5-6 with its own potential heat. The strip is then pickled to remove oxide on the surface, cold rolled to the inal thickness, and finish annealed at 1000 deg.C for 1 min to obtain a non- oriented electrical sheet with superior iron loss and magnetic flux density.
