Abstract
PURPOSE:To promote an improvement of productivity and insulation characteristic, by heating and cross-linking a cable, made coating by polyolefine composite with cross-linking agent included, getting through a thermal medium, mainly composed of antioxidant having a specific melting point and retrogradation temperature. CONSTITUTION:A cable 1', made coating by a plyolefine composite mixed with a cross-linking agent like organic peroxides, is made passing through in a thermal medium, mainly composed of antioxidant with the melting point below 160 deg.C and decomposition or retrogradation starting temperature above 300 deg.C, with a heating and cross-linking processed. For instance, the cable 1', made extrusion coating by polyethylene insulating material compound with 2.0 pt. dicumil peroxides, after being cross-linked by passing through a cross-linking chamber 3, as a thermal medium, accommodating nickel dibutyl dithiocarbamide at 10 atmospheric pressure and temperature of 280 deg.C, is cooled by a cooling device 4. In this way, without providing a retrogration caused by overoxidation decompositions of the insulating material, with a temperature of cross-linking raised, a productiviy and insulation characteristic can be improved.
