Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a transparent, electrically-conductive plastic usefurl as non- fogging windows, by sputtering an electrically conductive material onto a plastic base sheet to form a transparent, electrically-conductive film according to the magnetron-type RF spattering method.
CONSTITUTION: A plastic base sheet, e.g. polycarbonate, etc., is heated preferably at ≥100°C in a vacuum apparatus, thereafter cooled to room temperature. A transparent, electrically-conductive film is formed by sputtering an electrically-conductive material, e.g. SnO2 In2 O3, etc., on the sheet, preferably using argon gas as the sputtering gas according to the magnetron-type RF spattering method.
