Abstract
PURPOSE: To effect efficient heat exchange by setting a bimetal in a bypass prevention ring part fit between a lower body and an inside body to decrease the bypassing of the fluid which does not contribute to thermal conduction in the lower body.
CONSTITUTION: Primary high temperature sodium coming through a primary sodium inlet nozzle 3 hits a bypass prevention ring 17 which is bolted and fixed to an inside body bypass prevention ring 17 with a bimetal clamping nut 19. Due to the difference of thermal expansion of materials, the bypass prevention bimetal transforms itself to push against the lower body bypass prevention ring 4, sealing the bypass part. Also, the primary sodium, having effected heat exchange by flowing outside the pipes of thermal conduction pipe arrangement part 15, comes out of an outlet window 12 of the inside body and ascends up to bypass prevention rings 4, 17. Yet, the sealing effect is preserved due to the thermal transformain of the bimetal and due to the fact that the pressure value is higher on the inlet side than on the outlet side for sodium.
