PREPARATION: A tropone derivative of formula II (X is halogen, sulfonyloxy or alkoxy) is reacted with an aniline derivative of formula III (Y is carboxyl, ester or nitrill) in a solvent such as benzene at room temperature or the refluxing temperature of the solvent to form the objective compound of formula I.
