Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:Compounds of formula I (R is H or methyl).
EXAMPLE: p-(2-Troponylamino)phenylacetic acid.
USE: Antiflammatory analgesics with extremely reduced gastroenteric trouble activity.
PREPARATION: A tropone derivative of formula II (X is halogen, sulfonyloxy or alkoxy) is reacted with an aniline derivative of formula III (Y is carboxyl, ester or nitrill) in a solvent such as benzene at room temperature or the refluxing temperature of the solvent to form the objective compound of formula I. In the reaction a basic condensing agent such as potassium carbonate can be used as an acid eliminator and sodium iodide or copper sulfate can also be used as a catalyst to accelerate the reaction
