Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize the temperature of the preheated air always at a constant temperature, by detecting the timperature of the waste gas from the hot stove entering into the preheater for the air for combustion in the hot stove for blast furnace and actuating the supplementary preheater when the lowering of temperature occurs. CONSTITUTION:The waste gas of high temperature from the hot stove 1 is released to the stack 8 through the intercepting valve 4 from the flue 3. In addition, the passage for leading the above gas to the stack 8 passing through the air preheater 9 is provided with the ducts 6 and 7. The air for combustion in the hot stove 1 passes through the air preheater 9, is heated with the waste gas and enters into the hot stove 1. At this time, the temperature of the waste gas entering into the preheater 9 is measured with the temperature detector 18 and is compared with the temperature of the temperature setter 16. At the case where the temperature of the waste gas is lower than the temperature of the setter 16, by controlling the operation of the supplementary preheater 14 with the combustion controller 17 on the basis of its signal, the waste gas is heated to the prescribed temperature. Accordingly, the temperature of the air for combustion passing through the air preheater 9 too is maintained always at a constant value, so that the amount of coke oven gas for combustion is saved and the state of operation of the furnace is stabilized.
