Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the sintered gear of high precision of which the precision of the surface of cogs has been enhanced, at low cost in a short period of time, by mixing the prescribed amount of copper powder and Ni powder to iron powder, pressurizing and molding the mixture and then sintering.
CONSTITUTION: Nearly equal amounts of copper powder and Ni powder within 1W 10wt% are mixed to iron powder. After this mixed powder has been placed in the mold of high precision, pressurized and molded, it is sintered at the prescribed temperature. According to this composition of the mixed powder, the shrinkage due to Ni does not occur at the sintering and the distribution of density inside the molded product becomes uniform in a good balance.
