CONSTITUTION:Variable gain controller 21 is provided between variable frequency divider 6 and phase detector 2. Controller 21 is a variable attenuator using, for example, a variable resistance type diode, and controls the DC bias of the diode to make attenuation variable. The VCO control voltage is relative to variable frequency division ratio N determined by digital switch 8. The VCO control voltage is branched to be supplied to variable gain controller 21; and when division ratio N becomes larger, the gain is increased; and when division ratio N becomes smaller, the gain is reduced.
