Abstract

PURPOSE:To make needless an oil separator, an oil pump, etc. for lubricating the turbine of Rankine cycle engine, by extracting a heat medium liquid containing oil concentrated in an evaporator of the engine and by lubricating the turbine by using the high pressure of the heat medium liquid. CONSTITUTION:The Rankine cycle engine comprises the outside-tube evaporation type evaporator 1 which changes the heat medium liquid of low boiling point into pressure gas by steam or high-temperature water of about 80 to 200 deg.C flowing through a pipe 10 extending in a container, the rotary displacement type turbine 2 which changes the energy of the pressure gas into rotatory power, a condenser 3 which condenses the exhaust gas into the heat medium liquid by exchanging heat with cooling water flowing through a pipe 11, and a circulating pump 4. A preheater is installed in a circuit between the evaporator 1 and the circulating pump 4. The heat medium liquid containing the oil concentrated in the evaporator 1 is used to supply thermal energy to the preheater 12. The turbine is lubricated by using the high pressure of the heat medium liquid.
