CONSTITUTION: Soln. 1 contg. salt of metal such as Al, Mg, iron, Zn or Cd is charged into reaction vessel A and mixed with NH3 or ammonia water 11 to form precipitates of metal hydroxide or oxide. Reaction slurry 2 is introduced into separation vessel B and subjected to solid-liquid separation, and precipitated conc. sludge 4 is recovered.
