PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption stopping the operation of the oscillator circuit for the period during which the device has no operation, and thus to use the oscillator circuit effectively as the clock signal source for the microprocessor equipment which is incorporated into the single semiconductor substrate. CONSTITUTION:When ''H'' signal [f of (A)] is supplied to oscillation stop signal terminal 17 of the low-power consumption oscillator circuit with the delay circuit, MSO transistor Tr16 is turned on. And the input part of inverter circuit 1 within oscillator circuit 8 features the earth potential to sop (B) the oscillation. On the other hand, N-type MOS Tr12 is also turned on for delay circuit 9 to discharge (C) the electric charge stored in charging capacitor C14.
