Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of energy transfer to plasma currents, by connecting thyristors in antiparallel with a plasma forming circuit, and by connecting a saturable reactor, a commutation reactor and a commutation condenser in series with the thyristors.
CONSTITUTION: Thyristors 18, 19 are connected in antiparallel with a plsama forming circuit, a commutation condenser 17 and a commutation reactor 16 are connected in series with the both thyristors and a saturable reactor 23 is connected in series with the thyristor 18. When plsama currents are excited to a plsama circuit 22, polarity is inverted by means of polarity change-over switches 14, 15 and current transformer coil exciting currents are short-circuited with a thyristor 21, the thyristor 19 is brought to a closed circuit condition by oscillatory currents by means of the commutation condenser 17 and a current transformer coil 20, and high-frequency vibration and ripple are not contained in a main circuit, thus efficiently transferring energy to the plasma circuit.
