Abstract
PURPOSE:To widen a permissibility range and also to improve mechanical strength by adding a specific quantity of Ni to a specifically-mixed Au-Sn alloy. CONSTITUTION:As for a mount material connecting and fixing a vibrator and plug terminal, the composition ratio of an Au-Sn alloy is so fixed that Au is greater than 10% and less than 85% while Sn is greater than 15% and less than 90%, and Ni added to it within a range between 0.05 and 1% combines with Sn to produce a compound of Ni3Sn4, which is dispersed into the alloy. As a result, the mechanical strength can be improved and the quantity of Au can also be reduced, so that the cost of the mount material can be reduced.
