Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a brazing material with a low melting point, a high strength and a high anticorrosivity made of an Au-Sn alloy. CONSTITUTION:An Au-Sn alloy composed of 10 to 85% Au and 15 to 90% Sn is made as a brazing material for parts of portable watches. In the composition of the alloy, an eutectic alloy made up of 80% Au and 20% An is particularly high in the mechanical strength and the anticorrosivity due to the low melting point of 280 deg.C and high Au concentration. Thus, this provides excellent characteristics as a brazing material for portable watches.
