Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve the improvement in the energy conversion efficiency of a step motor and achiev the improvement in space efficiency by electromagnetically serially constituting two coils which are disposed nearly parallel. CONSTITUTION:Stators 21, 22 which are coupled to magnetic cores 17, 18 have semicircular end faces 21a, 22a so as to oppose to a rotor 16. The driving pulse currents applied from the circuit including a time standard source are flowed alternately from O1 to O2 and from O2 to O1 to the coils 19, 20 wound on the magnetic cores 17, 18 to excite the coils, whereby the magnetic path of the stators 21, 22 and rotor 16 is formed. Then, the coil winding length is doubled as compared to that of ordinary ones and this enables the longer coils to be constituted with smaller coil winding diameters, making possible the motor of higher output torque and lower current consumption. When the plane space and output torque are made the same, the thickness becomes half that.
