Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a synchronous motor by connecting a plurality of driving coils in parallel with each other at the time of starting and providing different driving coil connection at the ordinary driving time, thereby driving with less torque than starting time at the time of ordinary driving. CONSTITUTION:When a pulse is applied to a terminal P at the time of starting the motor, a frequency divider D2 and a flip-flop F are reset, the output from the flip- flop becomes ''1'', which closes a switching circuit S1, and thus the driving coils L1, L2 are connected in parallel between the output terminals (a) and (b) of a drive pulse generator A. When the time reaching the ordinary drive is elapsed, an output is produced from the frequency divider D2 and causes the flip-flop F to be set. Thus, the switching circuit S1 is opened, and thus only the driving coil L1 is connected between the terminals (a) and (b). Accordingly, torque of 1/2 of that at the time of starting is provided at the ordinary driving time, and preferable efficiency can be provided without consuming wasteful current.
