Abstract
PURPOSE:To raise quality by preventing the occurrence of oil stain after annealing by the procedure in which a jet layer is formed onto the surface of metal to be rolled by supplying a high speed jet air stream against the contact point of work roll in order to remove rolling oil adhered. CONSTITUTION:A high speed jet air stream is hit against the contact point a between the upper and lower work rolls 2b and 3b and also the contact point b between the upper work roll 2b and the upper spare roll 2a through the air wipers 9 and 10 from the upper part of the cold rolled thin steel plate 4. The high speed air jet stream from the jetting nozzle 11 of the air wiper 9 is hit the contact point a to form an air jet layer, by which rolling oil dropping from the upper work roll is blown away before it comes into contact with the thin steel plate 4, and at the same time the rolling oil adhered to the upper surface of the thin steel plate 4 is also wiped away by the high speed air jet toward the both sides of the thin steel plate 4.
