Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure sufficient cooling effect of a laminated spacer for forming a duct by eliminating or drastically reducing copper loss generated in the spacer.
CONSTITUTION: A laminated spacer for forming duct is made employing an aluminium base alloy or a die casting. Then, a slot hole of the spacer 5 is coated with a heatproof insulating paint lest the spacer should act as a sort of short-circuit ring when it is cast into a laminated core 1. With such an arrangement, as the resistance between the secondary conductors reaches almost infinite level, the ckrrent flowing through a resistance R3 of the spacer between adjacent secondary conductors is zero, thus eliminating copper loss generated in the space itself.
