Abstract

PURPOSE:To operate a watch integrated circuit normally when voltage drops by applying a positive potential to the P well of the N channel transistor of complementary type MOS transistors at the voltage drop thereby lowering the apparent threshold voltage. CONSTITUTION:When large current is flowed owing to driving, etc. of a step motor or speaker and the voltage being applied to the integrated circuit lowers, the control pulse of a P channel transistor T5 becomes of low level and the transistor T5 conducts. Then, the resistance of the P well side of the N channel transistor T4 forming the complementary type MOS transistors reduces and the P well potential of the transistor T4 becomes higher than the source side. Hence, the apparent threshold voltage of the transistor T4 lowers and the integrated circuit stably operates normally even when large current flows or voltage drops owing to the drop in battery voltage.
