Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent agglomeration of toner, to uniformize toner feed, and to enhance the reliability of the whole apparatus, by moving the toner forward and backward incessantly with a screw shaft.
CONSTITUTION: When the toner is fed from hopper 33 into main body 31, the toner is advanced with screw shaft 37, and part of it drops in receiving groove 53 of rotary shaft 51. When screw shaft 37 continues rotation in the same direction, the toner in the left end of shaft 37 becomes more than that in the other end, and exceeds the predetermined amount, microswitch 61 is turned on the reverse motor 47 and to send the toner reversely toward hopper 33. When the toner decreases to the predetermined amount, switch 61 is turned off and shaft 37 again rotates in the initial direction. Thus, the toner volume fed down to groove 53 is uniformized by automatically repeating this operation, and supplied down into developing apparatus 9 with rotary shaft 51.
