Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the information transmission quantity of small remaining quantity of paper by changing over the copy mode to both-side copy mode by means of a near end switch connected to a copy mode selection circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a copy mode switch 43 is connected to both-side contacts, the output of a n OR gate 36 becomes high level and at the rise of a paper feed instruction pulse, an FF 33 is set and a rotary solenoid 26 is de-energized to prevent a separating blade 27 from being driven. The paper having been copied with information is then fed to an inverting part 29. The output of the FF 34 is inverted by the next paper feed in- struction pulse to energize the solenoid 26, by which the blade 27 is changed over and the paper having been copied on the other side as well is discharged to a paper discharge tray 25 by way of the blade 24 having been changed over. When the remaining quantity of the paper in a tray 9 is detected with a near end switch 17, the output of the gate 36 becomes high level even at the one-side copy mode, thus body side copying is accomplished. Hence, larger information may be processed with the paper of small remaining quantity.
