Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent erosion on a heating tube and unfluent drain current resulting from increasing pressure loss by blasting no steam into a drain cleaning zone.
CONSTITUTION: While passing from a water room 4a through a heating tube 8, feed water a absorbs heat of steam flowing down from a steam inlet 6 to through a steam passage 14 to condense steam. Drain, pooled on the bottom 11 of a drum, is carried from a drain suction part 17 into a drain cleaning zone 10, from which discharged outside. In this heat exchanger, a plate-built-up gas entry prevention member 18 held to said drain suction part 17 by stays 19 smoothes the surface of drain 11 around the suction part 17 and prevents steam from coming into the zone 10. This can prevent steam erosion on the heating tube 8 and unfluent drain current which involves steam to cause higher pressure loss.
