Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an emergency drainer for preventing the induction of turbine water without causing an excessive pressure difference between a drain cooler chamber and a desuperheater chamber of a high-pressure feed water heater.
CONSTITUTION: Water is supplied from a low-pressure feed water heater 5 to an inlet chamber 3 of the vertical-type high-pressure feed water heater 1 through a water pipe 6 so that the water flows through U-shaped heat transfer tubes 2 of the high-pressure feed water heater 1 and is heated by steam introduced from a heating steam line 11 into the desuperheater chamber 8. An emergency drain port 20 is provided near the inlet port of the drain cooler chamber 9, wherein water produced by the condensation of the steam is reserved. The emergency drain port 20 is connected to a steam condenser 17 through a pipe 22 equipped with a drain valve 21, which is operated by the output signal of an emergency water level adjuster 23 which detects the abnormal level of drained water.
