Abstract

PURPOSE: To substitution precipitate Ni and Co from an aq. soln. contg. Ni and Co ions in a high yield by simple facilities and operation, by adding ferromanganese to the soln. under an atmosphere of an inert gas such as N2 while specifying the temp. and pH.
CONSTITUTION: To an aq. soln. contg. Ni and Co ions is added 2W3 times as much ferromanganese as the quantity of the ions by equivalent under an atmosphere of an inert gas such as N2 at above 60, pref. 70W80°C and pH≤5.5, pref. 5W3. By this method the surface of the ferromanganese powder can be kept always fresh in the soln., and the ions and ferromanganese are reacted to allow cementation of Ni and Co to proceed.
