Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain eaves-gutters which will not be deformed by the heat of the direct sunlight and yet will be cut easily, by forming the layers of thermosetting resin over the outer surfaces of the main bodies of the eaves-gutters made of thermoplastic resin.
CONSTITUTION: The eaves-gutter main body 1 is made of thermoplastic resin such as vinyl chloride resin and thermosetting resin layer 2 is formed all over the outer surface of 1. In this case, said layer 2 is formed by applying thermosetting resin such as, for example, unsaturated polyester resin and curing at appropriate temperatures; and its thickness is made to, for example, about 1 mm corresponding to the thickness 2 mm of the eaves-gutter main body 1. Further, said layer 2 may be formed only on the part which is liable to be exposed to the driect sunlight, i.e., the outdoor side of the eaves-gutter main body 1 or the upper water passage 3. By so doing, heat resisting property of the eaves-gutter main body 1 can be improved and its thermal deformation can be prevented, and at the same time, the eaves- gutter main body 1 can be made stronger and its torsional strength and load resisting capacity can be improved.
