Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a thin battery to possess pressure stress, and thereby decrease the internal resistance by making at least on of upper and lower exterior films which seal the battery to possess residual spontaneous-shrinkage force. CONSTITUTION:An aluminum foil 12 is interposed between polyester films 13 and 14, before a laminated thermo-adhesive layer 15 is layed on one of the films 13 and 14, an exterior plastic film 2 being formed. An aluminum 16 is deposited on a film 13 made of either a polyester or a polypropylene by steam deposition, before a film 14 made of either a polyester or a polypropylene and a thermo-adhesive layer 15 are layed on the film 16 to make these three to be united, thus an exterior plastic film 1 being formed. A thin battery is constituted by using these exterior plastic films 1 and 2 by a conventional method. Consequently, spontaneous-shrinkage force remains after the exterior films are connected with heat. It is preferred that one of the former exterior films has 0.5-3% of spontaneous shrinkage, a part of which remains.
