Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture magnetic alloy with magnetic characteristics such as low coercive force and high magnetic flux density, by repeating plural sintering and compression alternately in sintering powdered Fe-Co mixt.
CONSTITUTION: Mixt. of powdered Fe and Co, 50% by 50%, is put into a dies 2, where it is pressure-formed with a punch 3. The molded product 1 is brought into a sintering furance 4 filled with hydrogen, and is sintered at about 650°C. The sintered product shrinks by only about 1% at the temp. The product is returned into the dies 2, where it is pressed once again with the punch 3. Sintering and pressing are repeated similarly plural times at sintering temps, raised gradually. Finally, sintered iron and cobalt product excellent in dimensional accuracy and magnetic characteristics are manufactured.
