Abstract
1511667 Hot pressing metallic powders SINTERMETALLWERK KREBSOGE GmbH 31 July 1975 [9 Aug 1974] 32127/75 Heading C7D Powder metal shapes are formed from a cold pressed powder compact which is first hot pressed so that no flow of material takes place transverse to the pressing direction and then is further hot pressed to shape with material flow in the transverse direction. The shaped compact may then be further heat-treated. Compacts are formed from Fe powder or atomized Fe powder containing 0À5-0À55% Mo and 1À8-2% Ni to which 0À5% graphite and lubricant is added; or Fe powder to which 0À5% Mo, 0À5% Ni, 0À5% Mn and 0À6% graphite is added.
