Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the joining accuracy and the working property, by joining a powder molding magnet and a part by a binder which constitutes the magnet.
CONSTITUTION: Magnetic powder (such as an intermetallic compound formed from samarium and cobalt) is provided by ball mill grinding. Next, for example, some stearic acid is added as a mold assisting agent to the mangetic powder and the substance thus obtained is subjected to compression molding in a magnetic field to produce a maget 1. Then, a central shaft 2 manufactrued by turning operation is inserted into the central perforation in the magnet 1, which is thereafter immersed into the heated binder consisting of an epoxy-resin or the like. This binder permeate among the particles of the magnet 1 to strengthen the magnet and at the same time to join it to the central shaft 2. Then a motor rotor is obtained through solidifying treatment. Alternatively, such a motor rotor can also be obtained by firstly kneading the binder into the mangetic powder, then disposing the central shaft in a metal mold before press molding is effected, and finally effecting the press molding.
